The Warriors is a beat ‘em up/action-adventure game published by Rockstar Games and developed by Rockstar Toronto. Inspired by the 1979 movie The Warriors, this game follows the same story as the movie but adds new elements and events to the narrative.
Set in 1970s New York, The Warriors (a street gang from Coney Island) are framed for murdering the leader of one of New York’s most influential gangs during a truce. Now, they must safely make their way back to Coney Island whilst fending off teams of bloodthirsty gang members on the hunt for revenge.
The Warriors was also released on Microsoft’s Xbox and then later ported to the Sony PSP in 2007.
